Denise, her husband, Brent, and three little guys live in the Del Mar area of San Diego, CA. Born in Erie, PA, she studied at Penn State and earned a degree in communications. When she graduated, Denise moved to San Diego, where her doodling hobby turned professional. There she founded, and later sold, a wholesale stationery company before relocating back to the east coast.
